Iran Meddles in Western Affairs
Posted: December 30th, 2009 | Author: dixwell | Filed under: Uncategorized | No Comments »In Beirut Iranian officials took advantage of the recent focus on its political activities to interfere with the domestic politics of many western countries. According to the New York Times, Iran’s Foreign Ministry condemned actions taken by America, and Britain, among others. Iran openly spoke out against words issued by these countries within their own borders, and has flagrantly meddled with their politics, seeking to control what they can, and cannot declare.
“Some Western countries are supporting this sort of activities,” said the spokesman, Ramin Mehmanparast, according to The Associated Press. “This is intervention in our internal affairs. We strongly condemn it.”
Such a response is completely uncalled for, what America and Britain say is nobody’s business but their own, and Iran has no right to comment on releases from Western governments.
